I had a Grandson that was horribly affected by an end of year required project. I think he was deliberately targeted for transferring to a community college to finish his high school and some college credits. He was enrolled in courses recommended by the high school. He was never allowed to graduate high school because they enrolled him in the wrong courses to get the right credits. Their excuse was the terminology of the required courses were named fast start and quick start from high school to college. No one was responsible by way of signing into college released either high school or new college from responsibility for any errors in curriculum. long story shortened he went to neighboring town and got a ged in three weeks after college and high school wasting his valuable time and changing his future. They both should be sued and only the disclaimer prevents suit.
