Ytj. If he was so adamant there may be something that happened to him you don't know about. Get over it.
Don't sweat it. High School relationships are meaningless and will fade to a back corner of your mind. Mental health is far more important in the long run.
OMG she was part of a past he was leaving behind. That includes casual meaningless interesting. Help him save up and find a place of his own. Be supportive and let the past go.
Not the jerk but I would have a backup plan. Sounds like these girls will be causing more problems later.
