Don't Answer The Work Phone Anymore? Okay

Back before the turn of the Millenium I worked at a Hotel whose entire chain has gone extinct. When new Managers were brought in they were ALL told "If you have any questions ask Ted, he can do everything within the Hotel" When I applied for Management positons I was told "Oh, I'm sorry, you have to have a four year College degree to be a Manager" I left that Hotel for as best I remember around an eleven thousand uptick in yearly pay. That Hotel chain went under and the Manager who had that demand is now sadly a Department Head at Wake Forrest University. After I left that Hotel and moved on a Bartender at that Hotel told me that WASN'T a Company policy. It was just a quirk of that damn Idiot.
