Vince Gill And Daughters Sing National Anthem

The United States National Anthem, also known as “The Star-Spangled Banner” seems to have become a hot-button political topic. However, regardless of your politics, the anthem is something that most Americans hold quite dear, and it has a special meaning for everyone. Every time it plays, it reminds every one of us of the ideals that we believe in.

It’s traditionally played before the start of any sporting event, and some performances are spectacular while others are merely forgettable. Occasionally, a well-known celebrity shows up and brings something extra to the song that we have all heard countless times before. So when Vince Gill showed up at the Nashville Predators NHL home game, he had something truly special in-store.

Vince Gill is a prolific figure on the country music scene, so it’s appropriate that he took the ice in Nashville, the gathering place for country music artists, past, present, and future. Country stars like Luke Bryan and Hunter Hayes frequently attend the games and root from the stands. Carrie Underwood, another famous country artist, is married to Mike Fisher, a player on the team, and she has also performed the anthem.

Vince Gill got his start on the scene in the 1970s and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007. In addition to his career, his family seems to have inherited his singing talent. His two daughters, Jenny and Corrina, joined him on the ice to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner.” The trio blew everyone away with their performance. One exceptional voice singing is impressive, but three voices together add richness, tone, and some amazing harmonies. The national anthem may be one of the hardest songs to sing, but this family makes it look easy.
