Abandoned Senior Dog With Days To Live Finds Loving Home

This commitment to improving the dog’s quality of life demonstrates the limitless potential of compassion and the significant influence that a loving family can have.

Meet Mila

Mila is an aging dog whose unwavering loyalty made her stand out from all the other dogs we know.

Her Story

She was abandoned by her previous owner, but despite her malnourished state and the opportunity to escape her loose collar, her obedience and optimism held her where her previous owner left her.

Saving Mila

One day, a Good Samaritan stumbled upon her and brought her to a local senior dog rescuer named Tiffany.

Senior Dog

Mila is guessed to be around 14 or 15 years old, and she was in a fragile condition when she was found, so the vets said that she only had about days or weeks to live.

Her Recovery Journey

Mila’s immediate need for love and her unwavering desire to live were noticed by Tiffany who specializes in providing care for elderly pets. Her initial timidity gradually gave way to comfort and confidence in her new owner and surroundings.

New Friend

She eventually started to show indications of emotional and physical healing. Her bond with Noodle, a senior hospice dog, was crucial to her recovery because it gave her the confidence to accept her new life and home.

She Thrived

Mila’s personality started to emerge as she became comfortable in her new environment. She made her wants known by barking for food and attention, displaying a charming mix of self-reliance and love. She was clearly curious and wanted to be near her human friends, but she also had a strong sense of self.

Strong “Little Old Lady”

Despite being given a prognosis of only a few days to weeks to survive, Mila has now been living for more than three months with her rescuer’s loving care.
