YouTube, The DodoNubz is an adorable little chicken who’s got a lovable personality despite his disability.
He Has No Toes
YouTube, The DodoHe’s got his name “Nubz” because he has no nubs (get it?). He is toe-less. He has no tips or nails on any of his toes, making them look like duck feet.
How He Got There
UnsplashHe now lives in a sanctuary with his now-owner, Meesh. According to her, Nubz’s previous owner heard that she ran a rescue and asked if she would be able to take some chickens, and Nubz was one of them.
He’s A Mama’s Girl
YouTube, The DodoHowever, the lady didn’t mention how Nubz lost his toes. But despite his disability, Nubz gets the love and care he needs from Meesh, and even her parents love seeing him when she visits them.
A Bright Idea
YouTube, The DodoOne day, Meesh thought of some dog shoes around his house that no one uses anymore. So she tried to put them on Nubz to see if it would make his walking easier.
He Loves Them
YouTube, The DodoHe was walking funnily in them at first, but he eventually got the hang of it after a week and started exploring the entirety of the sanctuary.
More Shoes
YouTube, The DodoMeesh’s mother-in-law sent her a few pairs of shoes for Nubz and he now has a total of 30 pairs of boots.
His Favorite
YouTube, The DodoNubz’s favorite pair of shoes are the brown ones. Ever since he started wearing his tiny shoes, he seems to be walking around more comfortably and confidently. Meesh said, “I think it’s just because it’s given him confidence that he can go farther.”
