Meet Lil Coach Best

Christopher Best, AKA Lil Coach Best, is an adorable 4-year-old kid who usually tags along with his dad to his basketball games.

Like Father, Like Son

His dad, Reggie Best, is the head coach of the Tarboro High School varsity men’s basketball team, and he’s always dreamed of becoming like him.

Little Coach

Christopher takes an active role in the group, mentoring his older brother, a freshman, and providing advice and inspiration to the basketball players.

He’s Versatile

He is a committed coach, especially when it comes to mentoring his brother. His passion for sports extends beyond the basketball season as he also plays baseball and football just as much.

He’s A Star

Christopher proves that being young can’t stop you from following your dreams, he’s definitely an inspiration to many!

Learning From Him

For Christopher, each game is more than just winning or losing. He’s learning what it means to be a good leader and the importance of teamwork.

He’s Recognized

Because of his passion for the game, Christopher was honored as the Tarboro High School 2024 Youth Coach of the Year in Edgecombe County.

They Love Him

The enthusiasm and support for Lil Coach Best from the community are tremendous as the Tarboro basketball team prepares for a big playoff game. Because of his experience, he has gone from being a local wonder to an inspiration to many.
