YouTube, Nat Geo WILDWe all need a little help sometimes, and if we’re lucky enough, someone much stronger than us will voluntarily step in to be our guide.
Meet Terfel
YouTube, Nat Geo WILDTerfel is a 14-year-old senior dog who is blind and partially deaf.
His Comfort Zone
PexelsWhen he kept on getting hurt walking around the house, he just decided to stay in his basket.
But It All Changed
PexelsThe only thing that made Terfel leave his comfort zone was Pwditat (pronounced as “Pudditat”), a formerly stray cat adopted by Terfel’s owner, Anne.
He’s A Fierce Cat
PexelsPwditat is not very nice with other cats. They are afraid of him because he bullies them a lot.
A Soft Spot For Terfel
YouTube, Nat Geo WILDHowever, Anne noticed how gentle Pwditat is toward Terfel, and this made them instant best friends.
His Guide Cat
YouTube, Nat Geo WILDPwditat helps to lead Terfel around the house, encouraging him to get out of his basket and start moving around with him. Since then, he has become Terfel’s designated “guide cat.”
Clingy Friends
YouTube, Nat Geo WILDWhen the two friends are not out walking together, they can be found cuddling on the couch.
A Unique Friendship
PexelsWhile Terfel and Pwditat’s friendship is quite unique because we so often see dogs chasing after cats, their relationship is also special. Pwditat seems to have seen Terfel’s need for extra care, which he lovingly gives for free.
