For Juan Carlos, it was hard to not be with his parents as he grew up. He said, “Family is everything and more for us. Mexicans always try to protect our parents. It was instilled in us at a young age in Mexico.”

Juan Carlos and his brother admitted that each Christmas was a reminder that their family wasn’t complete and the fact that getting their parents to the US wasn’t an option added more pain.

However, fate finally went in their favor and they were able to book flights for their parents to the United States after 22 long years.

When the big day came, the two brothers waved and tried to catch the attention of their parents at the airport, and their reaction was something that will truly melt anyone’s heart.

The Awaited Reunion

The two men were sniffling and crying as they ran toward their parents. They gave them a huge hug like they were kids again. Juan Carlos said, “I was like a kid. In that moment what I wanted to do was hug my mom and hug my dad. They were happy. They couldn’t believe what was happening either.”
