Staying in a foster home is an unpredictable experience because you never know what the future holds for you.
Seth Miller is one of those foster kids who watched other children get adopted because no one would take him.
When he became an official adult and couldn’t stay in the same foster care system anymore, he became homeless and had to live in a car.
A Life-Changing Interview
Seth shared his story in an interview with USA Today and when a court-appointed special advocate heard about him, she talked to a couple named Robert and Ara Hunt who is his biological sister’s parents.
A Heartfelt Reunion
Robert and Ara arranged a meeting between their daughter, Shyann, and Seth and it was a really emotional reunion.
Seth Moves In
After the siblings’ meeting, the couple asked Seth to move in with them, but Seth’s transition wasn’t easy because aside from Shyann, Robert and Ara also have other kids living with them.
His First Thanksgiving
Seth ended up crying during their first Thanksgiving because it was the first time he celebrated the holiday with a family.
His New Identity
Eventually, Seth decided to change his name. He picked the name “Logan” which means “strength,” and to honor the people who changed his life, he decided his last name would be “Hunt”.
His New Family
One year later, Robert and Ara officially adopted Logan and stood together in front of the judge and lawyers in a Collin County courtroom to take him to become a family.
