Two Veterans Start Dancing When “Boogie Woogie” Plays At The Airport

This feel-good story proves that age really has nothing to do with how lively you feel inside.

An Honorable Service

Our dear veterans who once served the country are entitled to more than just honors and free flights. They deserve to live the rest of their lives dancing and living in abundant happiness with the people who are dear to them.

Free Flights

Honor Flights gives free flights for veterans to tour the war memorials which are built in their honor in the nation’s capital.

Waiting For The Plane

In 2015, while waiting for their Honor Flight home at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, a group of veterans had a spontaneous dance party.

Boogie Woogie Plays

When the Three Ladies of Liberty started singing “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” the gentlemen couldn’t help but stand up and dance along with the rhythm.

They Led The Dance

Marin Perryman and Paul Kopey who were both in their 90s immediately stood up and let their dancing feet wander across the lounge.

May I Have This Dance?

One of the staff even offered to swing dance with Marin and Paul and exclaimed “I missed swing dancing” after a series of tiresome twisting and skipping with the two gentlemen.

A Moment Of Happiness

It was evident on the two veterans’ faces that they had a great time having a spontaneous dance party with the people who were also happy dancing with them and seeing them let loose at the airport lounge.

Thank You For Your Service

There is nothing we can say or do to thank these wonderful men enough for what they have done for their country, and it is only right to honor and commend them in any way, even in the act of dancing a lively swing with them.
