Chris Persons from Palmetto Bay, Florida realized the significance of good parenting when he had an encounter with teenagers on October 2.

That day, he lost his wallet around Publix, and he was really worried.

Important Things

Aside from his cash, he’s worried about his IDs, Covid vaccination card, credit cards, and a gift card that are in it.

He Searched For It

He searched his truck countless times and called Publix a few times to see if anyone has turned his wallet over.

They Reviewed The Videos

Roseanne Person, Chris’s 72-year-old mother, reviewed footage from store surveillance cameras with the manager, but still got no luck.

He Gave Up

Fortunately, 15-year-old Lucas Perry had found the wallet in the parking lot. The next day, he drove with his 17-year-old sister, Maya, and father, Eduardo, to Chris’s house to get it back into his hands.

Good Parenting Paid Off

The kids refused Chris’s offer to keep the money that was inside it. Eduardo was adamant about teaching his children the importance of honesty, but Chris was confident that the kids would still do it anyway.

Three New Friends

Chris found out they had many similarities. He said, “We talked about everything from Jimi Hendrix to Lucas’ artwork. And found we had so many commonalities between us. Safe to say, I made three new friends today.”

A Special Gift

After a week, the family was on Chris’s mind again after he got a new television and realized he didn’t need his fancy surround sound system, so he offered it to Eduardo, and they became closer than ever.
