So here’s what you’re gonna do. Take a toilet paper roll and squeeze it down to “half” it. Place a ruler lengthwise along the centre of the roll, and use a pencil to make marks every two centimetres apart. Now use scissors to cut at these marks so you end up with five small cardboard rings.
Cut about 30-40 pieces of 25cm long yarn. Fold each string in half, loop them around the cardboard ring (watch the video closely to see how it’s done) until you cover the entire ring. This is the brim of your hat! Next, take all the hanging strings, twist them, and loop them through the ring so they are now on the other side.
Repeat the same for the other half. Once that’s done, take one more string and tie it around all the loose strands, about halfway of their length. Cut off the excess ends, leaving a cute little poof ball for the top of your hat! But make sure to leave one strand long in case you want to hang it somewhere. Ta-da! How adorable are these?
