This Dad Didn’t Want To Dance But His Daughter Insisted… So He Did THIS And Surprised Everyone!

A lot of kids are embarrassed when their parents try to bust a move on the dance floor. They may run away and hide in a corner, denying any family ties. And truth be told, you can’t really blame them… sometimes we have a tendency to overestimate our dancing abilities and we end up looking like we are trying to flag down a rescue plane in the most bizarre way possible. Or maybe that’s just me. Either way, that’s certainly not the case for young Jessica Hanley and her father, comedian Mike Hanley.

At Jessica’s 12th birthday, she surprised everyone when she busted out a fun choreographed dance routine with her dad. And trust me when I say that it’s all kinds of amazing because Mr. Hanley clearly knows how to shake his tailfeather with the best of them.

Things start off how your typical father-daughter dance, with The Temptations’ My Girl playing in the background. Nice and wholesome. But then the music suddenly cuts to Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody in a way that seems to befuddle Dad. But Jessica insists that he keeps dancing, and just as he finally accepts the invitation, the music switches to It Takes Two and the duo takes their dancing to the next level. From Soulja Boy’s Crank That, to Sir Mix-A-Lot’s Jump On It, to Cali Swag District’s Teach Me How To Dougie, their dance moves are hilariously on point.

How cool is this? Jessica and her dad certainly have a very special bond. Please share this incredible routine with your family and friends and prove to them that dads can dance (sometimes)!
