Bride Stops Father-Daughter Dance, Asks Dad To Turn Around. He Looks & Instantly Breaks Down.

You can’t go wrong learning multiple languages. No matter what, it’s beneficial. It’ll always stand you in good stead like when you’re traveling and find yourself in a pickle! It can help set you apart when job hunting. You can use it to get to know someone better or make someone feel more comfortable. Knowing another language (or two!) helps grow a bond and relationship. It’s invaluable.

Julie Finkle from Ohio, USA, knows this all too well. Before she could speak English, she learned sign language. She’s been signing ever since she was a very young child.

This is a big day for any bride, and there are lots of details to iron out so everything goes smoothly. While some are necessary and technical, like the type of flowers used in the bouquet, deciding beef or fish for the food or what kind of music will be played that everyone will enjoy from the kids to the great-grandparents, there are some other details that take a little more finesse. The details that make your loved ones cry and feel more loved than ever before! If you’ve planned a wedding or even just helped with one, then you know exactly what I’m talking about.

Julie’s parents are both deaf due to a rubella outbreak that happened in the 60s. As a result, she was taught sign language at a very early age and has since kept it up over the years to be able to communicate with her parents. On the day of her wedding, Julie planned a little surprise for her dad during the father-daughter dance as a way to make it extra memorable and show him how much she adores him.

She recorded herself signing the words to Rascal Flatt’s “My Wish” so dad could understand them. He was so taken aback by her kind gesture, they stopped dancing while he watched her sign to him and communicate in a way that held a lot of meaning for him. Julie and her new husband Rob also hired a translator for the day to come in and help her parents communicate with guests. Prepare to feel the tears well up watching this one. I couldn’t control myself and I don’t think you’ll be able to, either. But, they’re the good, happy tears.
