Optical illusions don’t necessarily have to be headache inducing. In a basic drawing class, I was taught to use perspective to create unique optical illusions. I may have thought I was a talented artist with a unique viewpoint, but the reality was that I had barely grasped basic drawing skills and there was nothing new or innovative about what I was creating. But, in my opinion, it definitely looked cool.
5. Is That Michael Jackson?
This closely resembles those posters I stared at as a kid. I stared at this for quite a long time before the image came through. But eventually… success! Even the King of Pop can’t escape inclusion in brain-bending optical illusions.
6. The Checker Shadow Illusion
This is one of my favorite optical illusions because it’s a clean, simple image and a very simple concept, yet it’s so hard to believe. Tiles A and B are actually the same color. The placement of the cylinder and the shadow throw off our visual perception.
7. These Three Cars
Believe it or not, all three cars in this image are the same size… in real life and in the image.
