When These Skaters Come Together In Formation? It’s Mesmerizing!

I was not even aware that synchronized ice-skating is a thing. Well, it is and it’s absolutely amazing. Staying upright on skates is hard enough with only one or two skaters on the ice. Imagine sixteen talented skaters, packed tightly together in formation, performing intricate, exciting routines in absolutely perfect synchronization. They must match their skating and dancing styles exactly, and not one skater in the group can make a mistake. When it’s done well, it’s absolutely stunning. [googlead]

The 2015 World Synchro Ice Skating Championships were held in Hamilton, Ontario, and the competition was fierce. The Canadian team in the video, team Nexxice, barely came out on top, winning the gold medal over teams from Finland and Russia. This was an exciting victory for Canada, winning their first world title since 2009. After watching them perform this routine to the song “Mud” by the Road Hammers, it’s clear why they are the World Champions.
