Most people are not talking about how your "husband" acted like an entitled brat, when you did as he requested. He told you if you wanted your daughter to have a bicycle to ride, then you should buy her one, which you did & now he is crying over the fact you used the money you had saved up so he could get his "toy" he wants for his birthday to get it. At the beginning of your post, you said your family is having some financial troubles, but yet he goes out & spends $200 to get your step-daughter a new bicycle & apparently doesn't give a hoot about how your child feels about being left out as she may have considered him a father figure until this point as he has been in her life since she was 6 years old or longer. You in my opinion are not the jerk for standing up & making sure your daughter wasn't left out.
Absolutely NTJ. I'm in my 40's and I still collect stuffed animals.
You're not the jerk. Even at your age you can get a prepaid credit card and either deposit money onto it or since you are working have your paycheck direct deposited right onto the card so nobody would have access to your money except for you. Your sister is a jerk and a thief if she tries to take your money again tell her you're reporting her to the police for theft.
