NTJ. I agree it's better to eat fresh, but it takes time and planning. You are both very busy. I think your wife over-reacted, but what I want to know is why aren't the kids helping make dinner? I learned to cook starting when I was 10, and was helping make full dinners when I was in my teens. Cooking is an essential life-skill that should be considered as important as school. If the family has one day a week together, you can use that to shop and prep the fresh, healthy meals for the week as a group effort.

What sticks out to me is this: ‘they would pay based on if they enjoy the time or not.’ This leaves you holding the bag completely, as they can all say they didn't have a good time, and leave you with the bill. NTJ, dump these losers.
Absolutely NTJ. When I got pregnant, I knew that a friend of mine was having fertility issues. I told our other friends not to tell her, then I called her and told her as gently as I possibly could. You can be joyful about your own news, and still have compassion for the pain someone else experiences.
