If it's 2 hours to a store that has it, and it's 3 a.m. now, you won't get back until 7. Waiting until 6 to buy locally means she gets the ice cream sooner AND you get some more sleep. Save the gas money!
I know women are often irrational when hormonal, I AM one and I've BTDT. Worst case, you tell her you'll go get it, go sleep for 3 hours in the car, then go get it. She won't know the difference.
