Y'all crazy. Quarantine is when a LOT of people found new hobbies. I fixated on baking for a while, moved to sewing, and then gave up and binged Netflix like everybody else.
I'm giving mom a pass, and I don't think OP did a damn thing wrong. The real jerk is her partner, because he said something to his mom just to hurt her. Everybody else is behaving within the norms of society and personality.
while your statement is true, it doesn't mean that everyone with babies has another room to put them in.
How she feels about the dog head on the table isn't about cleanliness but about feelings. Does it make her a hypocrite? Sure. But it's about feelings.
If you come to her in a neutral way and suggest making a joint pact to keep the animals off the tables in the interest of their health, you might get a better picture of what she THINKS rather than what she FEELS. I'd follow up (if she agreed) to ask if she thought that might be a good idea ALL the time, not just with visitors. Then make your choices accordingly.

NJH. but don't plant again. he may not want to go into his medical history, and even if he's not a fan of bees, why make him face his fear every day to deliver your mail? "just not a fan of bees" is a legit reason to ask you not to do this!
