Some people just suck, and suck the life out of us. My older brother was one of those people (he made my childhood pure jerk), and Alice sounds like one of those people too. I can understand Mom's current disdain for her daughter.
Agreed. In fact,.Mommy wasn't crying because she felt bad about how they've treated their child, she was crying because they're looking horrible (as they should look horrible because they ARE horrible) in front of their peers. Those tears were for HERSELF.. OP you're NTA!!!
Wrong. His sister shouldn't have even brought up his addiction at her wedding. You're right. Time and place. Her comments weren't said at the right time nor the right place. OP pulled her aside afterwards, and rightfully so. OP is NOT the AH.
