Not all older Asian people are horrible, but I’ve heard in that culture, you’re supposed to just take it when older people are horrible to you because of the “respect your elders” thing

I guess birthdays were never that big of a deal to me, so I father could have gone to the shower and then done something with stepdaughter. He doesn’t need to spend the whole day with her
