I disagree with this. I married my husband, and accept his children (all adult now) and family. What I will NOT accept is being treated badly. If her husband wants to be with his narcissistic, mentally compromised, ADULT daughter’s horrific behavior, that’s his choice! He should go spend Christmas with her withOUT making his wife feel obligated to go, also. It’s quite simple: wife goes to her bio daughter’s, AS PREVIOUSLY PLANNED, and spend their new grandchild’s first Christmas with them, while husband goes to his spoiled adult daughter’s house to deal with that show. If he wants to provide Christmas dinner, he can order it or pick up a frozen lasagna to cook or something. Not wife’s fault that stepdaughter chose to make other plans AFTER original plans had been made.
