If you don't take care of your teeth, you can get dentures, but if you don't take care of your eyes, you cannot get replacements- you go blind. Your hubby is a jerk and a moron for not understanding this and for not caring about you.
It sounds very deliberate by the teacher. My younger son was often called his brother's name (They are a year apart and look quite a bit alike.) He had a great way of handling the wrong name. He acted like the teacher was calling on someone else. Made no response at all to the teacher. Sometimes the teachers would get in his face and yell "John, why are you answering me" and he would respond in a meek, polite voice "I"m not John." Maybe your child could try that.
